Converting to a LED Trailer Board
Got hold of some 12v Hamberger type LED's Lamps which i am planning to use on my trailer board.
I have the usual crappy trailer lamps on my board so have re-wired and replaced them with the LED'S.
Before i plug the thing in my Disco 4 7 pin socket do you think i will need any resistors, or is the Disco LED ready

HIDS4U said he had some in development with an overseas supplier but I Don't think the bulbs will ever be produced in amber LED -there just ain't enough vehicles using that bulb in fact only the D4 using amber I think.
The only way I can see anyone getting an amber LED in the D4 indicator is to cut out the bulb holder part and glue in the holder cut out from a BMW or VW indicator lamp and use a PY24W Amber LED which is readily available.
It can be done but unless you can pick some lamps cheap to butcher then it's an expensive experiment.
Anyone changed the side repeaters to LED yet ??2007 RS4 Avant

If you want the trailer stability program to activate (and deactivate your rear parking sensors), you'll need a resistive load across one of the indicator circuits.

Sorry Gordon
Not been able to try my converted LED board out cause the cars been in the dealers for 2 weeks.
Now I've got the beast back I've got it wired up and running.
All the lights work perfect except for the trailer indicator symbol on the dash, but since I'm only using it for bikes and LED's are far more reliable I think i can manage.
The only thing I haven't tried yet is reverse gear before the car knew a trailer was plugged in and automatically shut the bleepers off
