Air con/econ lights
Hi all
Could someone do me a favour next time they're in the car and check if the 2 lights in the air con button go out when econ is selected. I've just had a new alternator after the last one expired (totally draining the battery in the process) and now when I select econ the air con lights stay on and I'm pretty convinced they used to go out! I'm now wondering if I'm senile or they have always stayed on!
Cheers

Many thanks for reply. I really couldn't remember what the lights did and just wanted to check in case something had gone wrong with the system after the power failure.
Cheers

Ive noticed last morning that only 1 of those two lights on that switch where active.
Turned the ACC off and on, then both light worked again.

My understanding is that the two lights relate to the air direction and fan speed. When the lights are on the corresponding control is in automatic (climate control) mode. If you press one of the air flow buttons (screen, feet, face level vents) or change the fan speed then the corresponding light goes out. Press the centre button, where the lights are, and both controls return to automatic.
