Good deal or not….bit of help on valuation please !!! |
|
I have been offered a disco 4 59 plate 2010 HSE (Private sale), tow pack, sensible colour combo, no privacy, just serviced at LR etc, 22k miles for £35k.
I sold my last disco (58plate disco 3) 15 months ago for late £20’s so at first this sounds pricey however I am out of touch on current mkt values, especially for Disco 4’s
I see on this forum that one was traded in (all be it with 51k miles for £29k) additionally there is some for sale for £40k + - so whats the correct value.
Kind regards

I wouldn't say it's cheap, but then again it isn't very dear either !
If some haggling can be done then it's all down to if it's your ideal spec/colour choice ?
As you say there are plenty on the market, and being this time of year I would expect the prices to only get better !....................choices choices !!

I'd say that's a bargain, if I were the seller I'd expect to be getting at least £40K for such a vehicle with that mileage, provided the condition is 100%!
I'd do a HPI check if I were you.... 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial
2019 Discovery 5 HSE

the car is with a major dealership (non land rover so they are not keen to retail)
they want to trade it on (which is the same terms as a private sale)…I only know about it as my friend knows the dealership
I cant get out of my head I am buying a car the same age as the one I sold 15 months ago for 7k more (I understand this is a 4 and not a 3)

How is your 58 plate Disco3 the same age as a 59 plate Disco4
Whatever, it is still worth way over your Disco3!

when i sold my 58 plate it was 2 years old.....the disco 4 is now 2 years old
so both were/are circa 2 years old .....
