I run 255/60/18 in summer and (I don't remember exactly right now) 235/60/18 in winter.
The consumption is a little bit "smaller" on 235 size. I think that those sizes are ok as a I checked how much kilometers I made on a fully tanked car and it was similar to computer values.
BTW. we have a joke in Poland

you are right barti from the 17's on 235s Grabbers and 520+ mile per tank it went down to around 400 on 255 Duratracs but would not change them as they rule

Drove back to Geneva from les deux alpes, kept the cruise control to 70mph and managed 36mpg.
although I did get some help from the desent at the start was reading 80mpg at one point!!

have just driven down the mountain and at one point it was showing 889mpg!!!!

I can manage to get 33mpg on highway, but in the city I suffer at 18-19mpg.....That's hard here in Norway where it costs 1.35£ for diesel.
Wife's disco4 is at 30.6 mpg, not going over 120 kmh but I live up a mountain so I'm pritty happy with that

Drove from Geneva to Calais yesterday in one go.
492miles and it took 83 ltrs to fill back up.
thats 27mpg at 70-80mph
the Uk leg went up to 30mpg at 70 ish.

The car is still new to me, but so far the consumption is not as bad as I expected. 10,5l/100 on shorter runs and forest roads (brim to brim method), on a longer weekend on Estonian country roads managed to get 8,3l/100km. That last one might not be 100% accurate, as I used different stations, but still not half bad

Assuming everyone knows the on board gauge is notoriously inaccurate?
Unless you go into the system with a GAP tool and change the parameters to -7..then it becomes near to reality.
255/55x20 AT's is pretty much a std 25mpg for me, and I'm super gentle, and do nothing less than 25mile trips.2011 MY D4 HSE

Never trusted any of the built in calculations. Always calculate by filling the tank full and checking the distance driven. Mostly I refuel at the same pump, and when on longer trips - always pick the same brand Neste, when possible. So thats as accurate as possible in everyday conditions...
