Rock / wheel bolt hit the windscreen today on the M6 - like a cruise missile - massive bulls eye chip and 8 inch crack (no wife jokes please)
So - ordered a LR screen from Autoglass to be fitted ASAP - but what do I need to ensure they do on the A post - is it new clips or seals? - or both?

New clips on the A-pillars because the old ones get broken/weakened when removing.
Also worth checking Autoglass actually fit an LR screen, particularly if you've paid extra for it. They lied to me once.
Might be my imagination but the shape of these disco's seems to make the windscreens very susceptible to damage? Feels like I get a lot more "hits" than when driving other cars. Maybe it's just the size? Now on my third screen on a one year old D4!!!

Cheers - with regards to chips - first one since 2005 that has needed a new screen - but have had 2 repairs - so I'm lucky I guess - but had I been in a 'normal' (read 'lesser') car today - object would have passed over roof

Adam, When I used Autoglass in Gloucester they replaced the clips and the A pillar trim. Worth checking that they have ordered it in. D4 SDV6 HSE 11MY - Gone
