Hi Vertex. It's fitted direct to the rear screen - no use of the towbar involved.
Did initially take three bikes, but as I didn't need it I cut it down for use with just one. Note: as it's fitted to the rear screen [but suspended from the tailgate top] I wouldn't want to put more than one bike on it....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Good plan - I've seen the results of an overloaded tailgate mounted bikecarrier - the top of the tailgate was peeled back like a tin can - ouch!Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

future robbery protection
Personally LR should offer this as a factory order option. I have not purchased this yet, but will most likely on my next LR. http://www.tintyourglass.co.uk/ I've watched the video, and this is def. what you need for added protection. Pictured at right, is a Range Rover, fitted... I hope this helps.. http://www.tintyourglass.co.uk/supaglass.htm

Weird
Actually, it's a charicature of me one of the guys that worked on web/graphics design for me did them, we was a bit weird, some of me and several other ex employees, etc. All hand/computer made, and unique... there was a story line that ran along with them at one time.
