I get about 10.5l/100 on a road trip without the roof rack, 12.5l/100 around Sydney (also no rack). The average for the Top end trip was 14.3l/100 fully loaded with roof rack. Parts of the trip (slow slogs over rocks and shale) made it significantly worse, but exactly how much is difficult to tell given the almost 200litre capacity and fuel was always a transit run from these areas. Went for a run to Dampier and back only a round trip of 40k so proberly not very accurate, averaging 13/100. Have just installed the LR raised air intake (don’t you dare call it a snorkel!!) and cleaned the air filter which was chock O’ block with Pilbara red dust from my Buntine (hwy?) experience. I am thinking that this may not have been assisting with the fuel economy! Wait for the next trip report!
PS. diesel has not moved off $1.42 ltr for the last 3 months here at all the servos, me smell a conspiracy!!

I got an indicated 10l/100km on a recent trip back up the Hume Hwy.
I cheated though: I reset he trip computer once underway and sat on a constant 110km/h all the way home. Filled up at the end and the trip computer told me I had a range of 853km - yeah right!
