If you cannot stand the looks of surface scratches showing then don't go for a metallic with clear coat go for a solid colour which doesn't have a clear coat.
The choice is then simple - Chawton White!!!
Mine has heaps of scratches down the sides at varying depths from off-roading and the plastic wheel arches show every scratch which you can't get rid of. It's Chawton White and I never regret the colour I chose when I give it a polish and the scratches reduce and can only be seen with the right lighting and viewing angle.

Try a decent exterior trim polish/cleaner on the plastic trim, I've got a few scratches but they disappear when the polish is applied The End

I'll be somewhere around Paris in its western suburbs...
If that is on your way, which I doubt as it is not the traditionnal way you should use to go down south, why not ?
