I also have used AutoGlym products for years and it certainly does pay off. There is a sealant called Gold finish or something like that, which you use after polishing and it leaves a just waxed look after a quick wash.

I have used Autoglym products for nearly 20 years on all types of vehicles and I wouldn't use or reccomend anything else.
from thier interior care products, to bumper care and vinyl/rubber care and polish and protect products, even tyre black, it all outstanding and the polish is so easy to apply and remove - yet effective.
Must haves as far as I am concerned..
Glass Polish
Vinyl/Rubber care
Tyre Polish
Glass Polish
Leather Cleaner
Interior freshener
super resin polish.
If you aint got these, just leave it dirty....

I was lucky enough to find a complete set of Autoglym products in its own carry case in a car park. I handed it in and noone claimed it, so they let me have it. Seen it advertised on the BMW site at £150.00!
Used it for about 4 years and used about 1/3 of each bottle.FFRR 2017 4.4SDV8 Autobiography. Cost so much I must be mad!

I also always use Autoglym products, I find them easy to apply and always seem to give a class finish, I just bought myself a Wax Wizard random orbital polisher from costco, and it sure makes waxing a lot easier if you're bone idle like me
As for automatic drive through car washes, I wouldnt touch them, not only do they leave swirl marks all over but about 9 years ago a mate of mine had his Honda Civic written off when the program went crazy, trashing nearly every panel on his car.
