Re the Road Angel, did you know that you can get a patch lead to power up a PDA using its GPS unit, which is made by Holux. I have a couple of them and the unit is really powerful. There are leads for the new USB RA and the old Serial RA.

They may be a bit "bling", but they seriously make a difference to the handling - which was quite a surprise!

to be fair tim you are right - this is my 2nd discovery as i back the first one due to paint issues, hence why i was able to sell the 19" wheels new but had had some experience with the kahns

it was quite interesting going back to the 19" for 100 miles then back to the kahns again Surprised

10forcash: have you got a sat nav screen? if so - ill dig the colours out that you need to tap it off
D3 JB/B V6 HSE + DVD and NAVtv addon, Steps, Tints, PTI
DVD Modified for front screen display, retro gaming unit added and Road Angel installed. Kahn RSC2-22 wheels

The info would be appreciated,

p.s. do you have a heated screen - if so, does it cause any problems with the GPS reception?

10, the screen does if you have a stand alone GPS or Road Angel.

It does not knock it out completely, but reduces the signal down to about 3 sats. My Road Angel (until I added the external aerial) used to drop out just before a speed camera, really great Rolling Eyes

10, I have the New USB with all the bits RA. It has bells and whistles, even voice and flashing lights, but better still, I have a patch lead from it so I can use a PDA and TomTom anywhere I go.

What may be of interest to you, is that at the end of August Road Angel are bringing out a Portable Sat Nav, using Garmin, which is fully updateable and with Road Angel built in. How do I know, well I know the guys at RA in Silverstone.

The new unit is slightly more expensive than the TomTom 700, but is far better in performance and is about as thck as a pack of playing cards.
