I would recommend:
Bridge Inn, Aviemore
Boat Hotel , Boat of Garten
Andersons, Boat of Garten
The Clockhouse , Tomintoul ( but not sure when it re-opens - possibly at Easter )
If The Clockhouse is shut when you will be there I think Andersons is probably the best food, but Boat Hotel is a nice place - and serves real ale.
There is also if you want Michelin type eating The Cross , Kingussie ( but v expensive - £50 per head or so )

The mountain cafe by the Glenmore Campsite do excellant breakfasts and pretty cheap to.
howwever, one of the the women serving is a miserable old git with absolutly no idea of politness or concept of customer service !!!
Still a great place for breakfast if you ignore her !!Duncan
