Dam site better looking now than it used to.

Concrete city with the ice rink and a most memorable, crofters night club!

I would recommend:

Bridge Inn, Aviemore
Boat Hotel , Boat of Garten
Andersons, Boat of Garten
The Clockhouse , Tomintoul ( but not sure when it re-opens - possibly at Easter )

If The Clockhouse is shut when you will be there I think Andersons is probably the best food, but Boat Hotel is a nice place - and serves real ale.

There is also if you want Michelin type eating The Cross , Kingussie ( but v expensive - £50 per head or so )

John

The mountain cafe by the Glenmore Campsite do excellant breakfasts and pretty cheap to.

howwever, one of the the women serving is a miserable old git with absolutly no idea of politness or concept of customer service !!!

Still a great place for breakfast if you ignore her !!

Was in the Doo Saturday. Absolutely excellent - especially the ice cream !

Cater for the kids well too.

Passed on a pint of Cairngorm Sheepshagger instead went for a few pints of the gold Thumbs Up

Hope you're not expecting to ski, total lack of the white stuff.

Mr. Green or Big Cry depending on your point of view.

No skiing for me, but wouldn't have minded seeing a bit of proper snow mind.
