recommended wheel and tyres

HI GUYS BEEN REGISTERED FOR YEARS BUT NEVER ACTUALLY DONE ANYTHING WITH MY DISCO, I SORT OF WENT OFF ON A TANGENT AND GOT A DEFENDER. I HAVE BEEN OUT ON A FEW TRIPS NOW AND NOTICED MORE AND MORE DISCOS.
MINE IS NOT WORTH WHAT I PAYED FOR IT, IT HAS 52000 KM ON THE CLOCK AND IS A DECEMBER 2006 HSE.
I WANT TO START USING IT FOR OFFROAD TRIPS AND WANT TO KNOW WHAT WHEELS AND TYRES I NEED TO GO FOR I CURRENTLY HAVE ROAD TYRES ON 18 INCH RIMS. SHOULD I DROP TO A SMALLER RIM.......... I DO A LOT OF ROCKY TRACK DRIVING AS I LIVE IN SOUTH SPAIN.

ANY HELP PLEASE AND RECOMEDATIONS.

ALL THE BEST

DAMIAN Thumbs Up

rocky drivin: Pirelli ATR in 19" size or MickeyThomson STZ 265/60R18 or Coopers LTZ 285/60R18 (those can rub a bit in extreme situations)
really plenty to choose from unless you wanna wait for new MT/R tyre I would find something for existing alloys

for ref check 4x4tyres.co.uk
cheers

WILL I HAVE ENOUGH RUBBER IN ORDER TO LET TYRE PRESURES DOWN AND TO NOT DESTROY MY ALLOYS. THIS IS WHAT I AM WORRIED ABOUT. WAS THINKING OD DROPPING TO 17 INCH RIM ALOWING FOR A BIT MORE RUBBER BETWEEN ME AND ROAD.

THANKS FOR RECOMENDATIONS THO LOOKING AT THEM NOW. Thumbs Up

if you want have lots of rubber you'd need to go for over sized ones like BFGs 265/65/R18 thay are 31.5 inches in diameter very hard wearing very hard core but might be rubbing a bit IMHO

its not that i want losts of rubber, rather im guessing for offroad use its going to give me less problems. i have been looking at goodyear mtr tyres for my 18 inch rims i am currently running 255/60/18 according to law here i have to have an h rated tyre and those dimensions, the only one that does fit the bill is the at pattern goodyear. does anyone here have any experience with such tyre.
