my advice is to take both the radar and the ECU from a donor car, so theECU and radar are already paired.
the wiring is very simple from the ecu to the radar and then to the central console,
obviously you need to power the ecu
the hardware:
1. Radar
2. Ecu
3. Steering wheel controls
4. Console commands
5. the wiring
you only need two connectors, one for the radar and one for the ecu.
Nothing is needed on the steering wheel controls, while on the central controls you just need to add two pins
power supply is taken directly from the central fuse box
if you take the radar and the ecu from the same car, you will only need to position the radar correctly (check my photos)
last thing you have to enable everything (holy IDITOOL)Discovery 3 MY2005

@francescor75 - I probably missed the info on where you mounted it, but where exactly did you put the front facing radar module? I have a winch, so I am limited in space. Behind the grille would be ideal for me but not sure if that is too high and if it needs to be at center or off-set to driver side.

I think I have seen posts here with it mounted high up at top of grill.
I cant be certain if it worked. Pain for engine work.

Hello!
I almost done retrofitting ACC into my D3 2007 with NNW502350 (4R83-9G768-AA) radar and NNW501922 ECU. Radar was installed behind grille at center of vehicle, CCF was modified, everything works almost ok.
Sometimes I getting error C1A67-96 (internal radar fault), and CRUISE NOT AVAILABLE message on IPC. After car restart everything works ok till next error (I got 4 it times within two weeks).
I think maybe this is because radar was not calibrated. I have no IIDTool here, SDD can do 'configure new module', but with no success (it cannot find firmware for radar ECU, maybe because it not in asbuilt config, maybe because it was got from RRS, or somtehing like this).
I have Launch diag tool, it can calibrate radars for Discovery, but for MY10 and after (my ECU and radar was got from RRS MY06). No luck with my 2007 D3.
Maybe there is a method how to trigger calibration with SDD?
Maybe reflashing the ECU will trigger calibration, or maybe no way to trigger calibration for ACC before 2010?
Maybe I should replace NNW501922 ECU with NNW501923 one? Will this help?

Heres what I did....
Ordered the following parts:
Radar sensor: Delphi 4R83-9G768-AA for a 06-09 age car
ACC ECU: NNW501922 again 06-09 age car
Centre console switch: YUL500320WUX
and the steering wheel switch: XPD500850
All the wiring is 0.5mm I decided to follow land rovers colour scheme to keep it easy to follow
I made a wiring diagram although there are some on here further back in the thread
I decided to mount the ECU in the auxiliary battery tray using a 3D printed bracket:
I tapped into the high speed can bus on the ABS loom, bit of a fiddle but it was the shortest run
Then ran the cable for the forward alert facia switch, there is a grommet to the right of the brake servo, I made a hole through the firewall insulation from the engine bay then pulled the wire through with a bit of copper wire
Then I replaced the facia panel with the one with the forward already switch, had to swap the face place from another discovery that had the extra button space
Next was fitting the steering wheel switch pack, easy job if you have the airbag removal tool, I managed to make one my self
Then it was on to the loom, I wanted to make it removable incase any work was required and it was in the way so the fuses can easily be removed in the engine fuse box, and the ecu end of the loom has a separate 9 pin plug that detaches from the ecu/hs can bus/FA switch
It’s just one big loop around the front of the engine bay
Then the final piece to fit was the radar, having seen where it was originally fitted on the Range Rover sport I wasn’t overly keen on cutting the bumper, but then I found this picture:
On the jaguar it’s mounted behind the bumper which got me thinking that maybe it can sit behind the grill…
So I made another 3D bracket for the radar and utilised the 2 holes in the crash bar:
Took a bit of measuring but it fit first time!
Once it was all plugged in I connected the IID tool initially I had a radar CAN bus fault, after rechecking everything I realised I had the wires the wrong way round!
Once that was fixed I enabled some options in the extended CCF file, you’ll need to ask Patrick at GAP for the full access…
I went to calibrate the cruise control but initially the option wasn’t there, an update of the IID tool fixed that, then I kept getting an error when trying to activate the calibration, again Patrick & team to the rescue with a beta version of software and the calibration started with the adaptive cruise control light flashing, after a 7 mile drive on the twisty Somerset roads the light went out, ignition off for 15 seconds, started back up and just like that I have adaptive cruise control!

I'm going to start collecting the parts to fit this and they will be cheaper if i source from there instead of here, my wife will be in the UK next week for 3 weeks so hopefully i can source both the radar sensor and the ECU for here to bring back for me.
Looking on ebay i found both for under 100 pounds which seems good to me ?

both for under £100 sounds reasonable to me.
When I looked in Decemeber, the lowest I saw was £40 each, though they didn't look in the best of condition.
If you can get the plugs too, all the better.
Don't forget the bracket, steering wheel switch pack and center console swtich pack

Switches are cheap enough even with postage, bracket i can 3D print.
Found a source of brand new ECU's in the US that are cheaper than used even with postage.

Was never manufactured in disco curved dash form. Hence ppl swapping bits from RRS

Yes, i thought the TMPS button was the one for ACC but now i know that i need an RRS panel and swap the fascia.
I reckon if i carefully cut my original fascia you wont even notice the difference.

Anyway that arrived today along with a pigtail for a Disco 2 SRS module. Exact fit! So while I have located the original connectors, it is probably cheaper and easier to source a Disco 2 SRS module connection and move the wires around inside as needed (I have not opened mine up yet). Pete K mentioned earlier in the post that they felt it could be the same connector. I found that Ford part #4R8T-14489-AA was the internal part of the connector and it did reference back to a Disco 2 SRS connector.

Update:
Well this worked out well, the SRS module pigtail had the exact number of wires needed. Just opened up the connector (just pull down on the green cap) and slide it out. Then just removed all the wires and rearranged as needed. Will get this all installed, eventually, and then order the radar module itself. Thanks to BBS SPY for the diagram on pin locations.

Where on a D2 will i find this connector ? i can go to a wrecker and cut one out with as much wire as i need.
