Memory Map for Android

Memory Map have, at last, started work on an Android client of their mapping tool. It's available here if you want to try it.

They have missed the boat a bit TBH ..."MM Tracker" for Android is a great piece of software and has been running all of my QCT files very well for well over a year.... and dare I say it with a more friendly UI than the original MM I use on iPad and PC Whistle

Yep I agree. I wasn't trying to say one was better than the other, merely advertising the existence beta to anyone who hadn't seen it...

Good news ........... but not for me!!

I'm still waiting for Anquet to get their act together for an Android app.
Before I got my HTC Desire HD in Oct 2010 they told me it would be around 6 weeks !!
Over a year later and still nothing Evil or Very Mad
But on this news I'll give them a call to see if theirs is about ready.

Another MM Tracker user here, the beauty about MM Tracker is that you can use your original maps with it, the new app with probably use their new encrypted maps

MMTracker (the paid one) on the Galaxy Tab is awesome - I have 15/16Gb of maps from a reputable source (cough!!!) and only 32Gb in the Tab so I cycle in what I need

Hi,
prepare for a numpty question here....

I have an old (2005 i think) edition of MM with all uk 50k and all parks 25k maps and some historical map data on a laptop running windows ME that i used with a PDA.
When we got a new laptop with windows7 I can not load the old disc, it just gave an error message and would not read it..
Is there a way to use the old MM edition still Question
at the mo I have still kept the old laptop purely for MM, have to sync the PDA every time if I want to use it as the battery has always gone flat and lost the details.

If the answer is yes .. can it be a simple yes....

note to self ..do a search on MMtracker.. to find out how this works.. Confused

You can run the old version of Memory Map if you run it in Virtual XP on a Win7 PC. MMTracker is a phone app, not sure there's a PC version.

Still, could be worse, you could have an iPhone - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic10741.html. Nice to see Apple telling everyone what they can or can't have, even if it ruins established companies reputations Neutral

Thanks DiscoStu,
will have to have a look at sorting again, would rather have the MM on the new laptop, can finally get rid of the old one then...
Did a search on Tracker, not seen anyone using it before.

Thumbs Up
