At £53k in these hard times, I would ring them back and tell them unless they throw in the mats and the Park remote you're going to do a deal elsewhere. You will be surprised at what goodies suddenly materialise.
What's the worst scenario? You get the car anyway!
Let me know how you get on ....................................................................................................

Surely you don't think I paid full retail price do you ?
Nah trust me, he was screwed to the bone, we were arguing over £200 at one point when he said, "I'll have to let you go then ?" It wasn't till I was signing the order form and mentioned the floormats again that he offered them at half price, £80 ........... I offered £50 ........ done !
The wait is gonna be hard though !

It does help though when you know how much their margin is and then you add in the -5% NFU discount !

As long as you are happy, and consider the deal was the best available, then you can enjoy your new purchase ....................................................................................................

Whether true or not, a car salesman once told me that if buying a new car, try doing the deal at the end of the quarter. Apparently sales targets and bonuses are made at this point, so the salesman really bends over to do a deal if it's in his or the dealerships best interest where a bit further discount and a sale could mean a bigger bonus! ....................................................................................................

Yep that coould be true if the dealership is looking for registrations, but unfortunatly not always true if they are not chasing sales.
Apparently Land Rover are one of only 2 franchises that have sales on the up even in todays climate.
One thing I forgot to mention though was the driving experience day or half day, what do they cost or do you think a phone call to the dealer might be in order ?

Well, my lowly specced Landmark came with a Premium mat set - all nicely edged in white.
Dealer also threw in a full set [for 3 rows] of fitted rubber mats.
Won't mention all the other bits I got chucked in on the deal. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I would have thought that that would have been chucked in as a freebie too!
If not, they are available on LRE website for about £240 for a half day and about £450 for a full day
I bought mine off eBay for just over £50
There are a few of them on there, but when I booked it with LRE after receiving the voucher ( with no problems at all) the confirmation letter confirming date and time stated "we are delighted you have taken up our invitation to try out a new D4" which led me to believe that the half day vouchers are being given away as promo items from the main dealers.
Looking forward to the day, as I'm takin my kids, as you are allowed 2 guests or 2 other drivers ....................................................................................................

The vouchers are given away by dealers and make sure you ask your dealer for one when you pick the car up. Also if you ring Land Rover customers services and say you wish to test drive a car off road they will send you one FOC Cheers Ian

Mainly for the looks, but I didn't care for the 2012 new HSE wheels, I preferred the the old HSE wheels or the ones they now put on the XS !
And for £810 I think it's a small cost for new 20" wheels n tyres, + I am going to purchase some s/h 19's and put winter tyres on for next year !
