I'm just looking at ala.co.uk. With a gap insurance figure of 12500 over 3 years RTI. I'm being quoted 115 pounds for 3 full years cover. Plus I get 11% cash back via quidco. Selling my wifes Audi A3 2.0LTR FSI DSG Sport to help pay for her D3

Kam - you can defer it for a year if the car is new

You can negotiate with the dealer and I would recommend it if you can get if for a sensible price. Insurance is only as good as the pay out. I would not bet any money on some Internet gap company paying you out ££££££ for a £150 premium. There are loads of t&c to consider. There are many variations on gap and you need to understand exactly what they are basing your payout on. Return to invoice is the best but even then there are stipulations to ensure payout. You should be able to get 3yr £10k cover for £250. Pay it interest free if you can as you can now cancel the premiums without penalty during those first 12 months if you change the car.
