Evening Everyone,
Im a new D3 (2005) owner and love the vehicle!!
I have one minor problem that I wonder if anyone else has seen.
I am getting the following error at random times - "MAP DVD - Rear Error"
The error clears itself and the navigation screen continues ok, but the frequency is getting higher.
I suppose it could be the DVD needs cleaning, or is this a trait of a more common fault?
Also, whilst Im on the subject of the sat nav, is there a subscription involved in order to get DVD updates?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I take it you got the car secondhand, maybe its got a poor quality copy dvd? so eject the dvd and make sure its genuine & clean.
New up to date dvd's are available from Land Rover dealers. They are over £100, there is no subscription service.

Welcome to the site JC
Sounds like you may have a copy not an original disk is the player, if you bought it from a dealer get back down there and get them to supply an original (make sure it's the latest and greatest '200' release too)
Whereabouts in Surrey are you JC and are you coming to the pub meet? The End

Thanks guys,
Will have a look at it tonight when I get back.
Hopefully it just needs a clean.
The car came direct from LandRover themselves rather than a dealer so hopefully it wont have a copy.....but you never know I suppose.
Best Regards
