faint rumble on accelerator lift off

so nearly all year I charge about the place on MT/R's but with the impending wintergeddon I fitted my winter tyres and now I can hear a rumble from the front of the d3 in this situation:
any flat road over about 50 when I lift off the accelerator, rumbley noise, if the go pedal is pressed again rumble goes inaudable, so is it the diff or maybe a wheel bearing?
 and theeeeennn......???

will let yer know tomorrow, exactly the same issue/noise that's just started the day before yesterday, managed to get him into Rovertune, Reading first thing to have both bearings replaced and also diff oil change so we can see how much metallic metal might be stuck to the filler cap.

The front bearings will be alot easier than the rears as they come as a complete hub and not as a kit as the rears do, of course LR charge a fortune. Shocked

BTW might be the OSR wheel bearing which often goes first, if so let me know coz I have a brand new OEMLR complete hub unit I bought t'other week just in case we could'nt get the wheel bearing out Thumbs Up

Do you feel the rumble through the steering or just through the seat of the car.

The symptom you describe is very much what you get when the a universal joint in a props haft is starting to seize up. It's fine under load cause the engine is over powering the stiffness, but you let off, the stiffness shows up.

Personally, I'd be looking at the props first rather than the hubs ... They are easier to check and fix
