That's a result, considering the way premiums are going!! With them at the mo & hoping will stay so.

Just pulled the house insurance as premium went up to stupid levels, almost trebled. I'm doomed me thinks.

Posh here? Well it was before we got there and discovered Dominos deliver! What's the phase, oh yes "There goes the neighbourhood". Even DG doesn't head down these streets without locking his doors.

Maybe its because you are going via a local office, but NFU Direct have alost all my business (two cars, house and the caravan), as the prices just rocketed, and they didnt want to do anything st all about it.

I was using my local NFU office and also have our house and contents with NFU. The vehicle quote last year doubled from £390 to £790 with no change of circumstance. Whilst the office staff were sympathetic and clearly embarassed at having tp present the increase, they couldn't do anything. This is in the middle of a large farming community so NFU country without a doubt. I went to Privilege and their charge was less than £300 including a new replacement vehicle if written off in the first twelve months. The perceived risk must be the same or similar with all the Underwriters so I can't understand the discrepancy. My neighbour went through the same with the same percentage increase as mine.

I moved away from NFU last year (still have house insurance with them) as the car insurance went up from about £600 to abouit £1100 with no reason!
Moved to Adrian Flux but that was still £860 last year. They've come back with £945 this year, so I'm going back to NFU who have quoted £809 and reckon they can get another 10% off that.
Includes the winch, tree sliders RAI etc.
Was through the local office this time though.

Just renewed my NFU cover on the D3, it only went up from £600 to £621 so haven't even bothered shopping around. I don't want to loose another week of my life trawling ins cos.
Fandabiedosie result.

Problem is I'm fairly heavily modified, remapped, offroad cover and, if only 3rd party, Tunisia/Morocco. By the time you trawl through that lot they've decided they don't want you anyway.

I'm with Aviva who charge £600, but that's top level and includes business use and big annual miles. Also have 6 points and aged 42. I change cars usually every 3 months or so, so like having a call centre in uk to do all the donkey work.
Also use swift cover insurance,
Some insurance companies like sports cars others like 4x4s, you just have to find out which suits, but at the end of the day, your postcode is the biggest factor, along with age and past history.
Always haggle, I have never ever paid the price quoted..........................................................................................................
If my wife ever sells my stuff for what she thinks I paid for them, you lot are gonna get some bargains!
