how do you set the new clock after the software update? I just tried this and the display just shows --//-- . Settings via the steering column stalk do not include clock. Tried resetting the clock on the radio hoping that it would transfer to the dash, but it didn't.

Open the bonnet(hood), let the car go to sleep, then undo the battery terminals.
Touch the terminal cables together (you may need a spanner to reach) NOT the battery terminals themselves but the cables for 20seconds.
Reconnect and then ignition on, should then display the time same as the clock.Bodsys Brake Bible

I take it this was a glitch that MTM had that needed a reset ? I assume then if that was the case, the clock would be set normally on the radio and that time would automatically transfer to the dash display ?

Seeing as you will have the Faultmate plugged in already, it would be silly not to get this update on the 9th

Couldn't remember what the button was programmed for so gave it a press. I was just behind the car at the time so minor moment of panic as thought SWMBO was behind the wheel. Luckily she was several hundred mies away.

Don't know if it's a glitch, but it happened twice. After seeing --//-- after software update and not finding a way to set the clock, I reloaded the original 2006 software and set the clock on the radio.
Then, after seeing Bodsy's reply here, I loaded the new software again and once again saw --//-- in the instrument cluster. After the hard reset following Bodsy's advice, the clock in the instrument cluster changed to 00:00, following the one in the radio.

Looks like a must have update!!
I take it will be compatible with D3 05 'S' spec? Apart from the very usable clock in dash, 3 indicator flashes and reverse lights with Headlights from middle button, does this update provide any other benefits?
Any suggestions for who or where to get this done in Tyneside / South Northumberland.
