Those diffs again

Had a bit of a play with the Disco on some slippery banks yesterday and I was very impressed but surprised at how the locking diffs operate. I had assumed that the front one would lock and then the rear one. When I went on LRE I didn't really look too much but in mine it was like a light show. sometime the rear on its own sometimes both, sometimes just the front. Whatever it was doing it worked.

Sometimes I find the terrain response a bit of pain, in grass gravel snow sometimes you need a bit of grunt and you don't get it. In normal mode it is better but of course the diff symbols go off the screen. Does anyone know if the diffs still lock automatically when needed even if terrain response it turned off?

I normally find the rear diff locks before the centre one or at least the little padlock locks to show the diff is active and probably partially if not fully locked

I suspect they do lock with special programs off but are not as sensitive
