Oli level has never made any difference to mine - bongs facing uphill, no bongs facing down. I put it down to the car basically being lazy - it would rather roll down hill than drive up, especially first thing in the morning
After the hills at Yarwell last weekend, it should regard my drive as a merely an ant hill. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Then its obviously got to do with the angle at which the car is parked as was noted from the observations made by the other members. It could be that even if their is sufficient oil that parking the car at an angle face could affect the oil level sufficiently to cause the second chime to activate. Just a question what happens when you park your car level.

I think it will chime if the oil is not to the top of the markings.

Alfwarez,
I thought the oil level was suspect and due to the difficulty in obtaining an accurate level, I had my dealer take a look. As an engineer I found this a difficult request to make. He confirmed that mine was ok. I have therefore ruled out low level as a cause. The plot thickens! I should add that it has never chimed whilst on the flat, even when cold after standing for nine hours.
