Excess inner wear on tyre

Hi everybody, just put 4 new tyres on vred winter extreme. Got them off Andy 4x4 thanks Andy Thumbs Up They actually seem quiter then the pirelli scorpion zeros so far. Anyway off side rear on old tyre has excessive inner wear. I read some posts about re allignment problems but would this be needed if only one tyre was showing excess wear or is it likley to be worn suspension bushes.
Dont want to have this problem with new tyres.

kwik fit did laser 4 wheel alignment on mine few months ago, people say you need to have tight tolerance set first but i didnt and have done at least 20000 miles since and all wearing fine now

kwik fit cost was £49.99 with before and after print outs

hope this helps

Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle
Well i have not disputed that,
But since owning mine from january to today i have put 51000 miles on it and had it done the kwik fit way once when i first got it and again after i replaced the front bushes, and had no issues whatsoever Whistle Whistle Whistle

so i can only offer my own experience,

i`d say its well worth trying before spending stupid amounts on dealer reccomendations.

Whistle Whistle Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Andy

can you remember what type of W/A machine was used and did they adjust front and rear castor & camber and thrust angles Question

would be intrested to know.

ps can only offer my experience , i have my own faultmate and have access to nearly 30k.s worth of W/A machinery and have done it both in and out of tight tolerence mode and to get it bang on and all the adjustments correct it needed to be in TT mode my experience only Thumbs Up

have also met up with a couple of forum members and checked suspension heights and put there D3,s into TT mode before W/A then taken it out for them after and the feed back was total different cars to drive much more responsive and feels much tighter hopefully they will see this and make some comments.

geoff

Geoff

It was a hunter machine, and they did castor, camber, toe in and out on front and rear.
Before this it had extreme wear on inside rear edges, since then it's been great.

As you say , can only speak from experience, I'm not saying tt is wrong just that I didn't do it

Cheers
