Wanted: tow bar stowage thing
Hi,
I hope one of you might be able to help, I am looking for the tow bar stowage thing that holds the detachable tow bar when not in use. Does anyone have a spare one hanging around their garage/shed that they want to sell at a reasonable price ?
Brother works at a dealers - I'll get him on the case..."To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

You can get them from the dealer, but boy they are expensive for what they are.
I sort of copied the LR design. Got 2 lumps of foam (the semi hard stuff you line big camera cases with, cut a couple of dints out of it to fit the darn thing in between (like a sandwich) and tied the two halfs together with velcro straps.
Shoved in the 'space' set aside for it and it works a treat. The weight of the thing has shaped my botched cut-outs so well that it looks OEM.
Although I've now put my car on a diet and taken all the stuff out of it that I don't need. Even keep all my work kit in a big plastic box that comes out when I don't need it. Saves fuel, aparently...

Over £80 from the dealer and now I have had one as standard with my new car I'm so glad I didn't buy one for the old car. It must cost them about 50 pence to produce. Make one!!
