Update:

Seems the dealer wins again Evil or Very Mad

Despite making representations to the dealer and providing indications that this is not a one off, they refuse to acknowledge it.

Was in the Indy garage and the owner has had to dig deep - there's now a shiny D3 engine complete with a modified cambelt idler mounting - if that's not enough to make your blood boil, I don't know what is.
