No, none at all (unless they have been closed locally at the time).
Because we were a group (4 cars + 3 cars) at least 1/2 hour apart, they stopped us to ask us a few questions as they thought we were a commercial tour group, where you need seperate authorisation from the Mayors of the areas you are going through.Bodsys Brake Bible

Hi there nighthawk “Kif ahnaâ€â€¦we are very interested to do this next year, that is why I asking the question because if I do not find another 4X4 to come with me I will go alone and in case of a breakdown I will not be alone on the route.

I'm interested too, but it's looking unlikely that I'll manage to fit it in to 2012 with all the stuff I have already planned! Will put it top of the list for 2013 for now Dennis

Bodsy, can you share what route you have taken, or roughly the whereabouts I should start looking. Planning to take the family out on a trip in 2013.

Wellllll. While Pyrenees is still on my to do list, I've had to postpone it indefinitely. The wife wants a winter holiday this year in Upper Austria/Salzburg early December (snowshoe hiking with the dogs, cross country skiing with the dogs, christmas markets etc etc), and we should be hiking 1 week in the French Alps and 1 week in the Julian Alps (Slovenia, just love that place) in early/mid June 2014
I avoid traditional holiday seasons (July/August/early September, Christmas and Easter) like the plague.Dennis

I could not find anyone in Malta to go to the Pyrenees with so I just booked with them for the Alps tour. Offer was great as kids can join for free.

Looks good Charles.
I'll be visiting that area in June 2014 (going alone) so make sure to take many pics for me just in case there are some cool places I've missed . Plenty of well known gravel tracks in the area but obviously I might have missed something.Dennis
