Cruise Control
Is there a fuse I can pull to reset the cruise control? Did a stupid thing I think. Cruising with cruise control and start upping the speed by pressing the + button intermitantly - not just holding it in. Problem was I kept pressing it intermetantly about 10 times and it finally gave up on me. Has never worked since.
Is there any way of resetting. Could I have blown the fuse? Is there a fuse ? - I cannot find it...

Mine stopped working a couple of months ago and my suspicions lie with the clockspring, which is not cheap. Ah well, TLO will be happy.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Hmm, thanks Robbie...I think
Was hoping for another one of those - "pull the fuse, it will re-set itself. We don't know why or how - it just does...This car is fantastic. Cheap to run and it fixes itself"
Oh well, flattened the battery today whilst making a meal od swapping the 19"s for the 18"s I will see what happens after I reconnect after charging.
BTW, heard of a guy who charged his battery without disconnecting. Blew his ECU. Completely U/S!

Charging the battery should not fry the ECU, otherwise the alternator would do the same. Guess his charger must been seriously inappropriate for the D3; I leave mine connected to a CTEK charger routinely via the tow electrics.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
It may just be the buttons on the steering wheel - you only need the 'set' button to stop working and you then can't tell what else is or isn't working. Nearly replaced the switch module on the other side of the steering wheel today, as 2 of the buttons weren't working......stripped it out and cleaned the contacts on the printed circuit board within the switch and hey presto everything working - so by that theory you could suffer the same fate on the cruise control buttons......worth the half an hour or so cos it'll cost you nowt to try it!!

Not thought of that so will check the switch before helping TLO's holiday fund.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
You only need to remove the airbag - not the whole wheel - 2 torx screws on the rear of the wheel can easily be reached with the wheel in place, alas I pnly figured this out after I'd removed the steering wheel oh well, you learn by your mistakes in this life

Thanks - sounds simple enough I will attempt to take pics as well.
I was actually using the "+" button - rather abusively to increase speed - when it stopped working, so hopefuly it is the switch on the steering. It's funny what speed can do to ones brain - a bit like seks I think 8)
As cdsymons says - one switch not working would probably ruin the circuit.
Anybody know of a fuse for the c/control? I cannot find one...
Not so much that one switch will break everything, but if the 'set speed' switch is not making contact then you can't assess whether or not the other 3 buttons are working as you can't turn the cruise control on in the first place

When disconnected from the car harness, check the resistance across the switches, all they use is a differenence in resistance that way you can tell if the switch is faulty
Suffered a similar problem time ago, culprit were faulty buttons. Soldered, solved.P. Bianchi, D3 TDV6 HSE - manual, nav 4x4 info, electric roof, rear diff, EGR blanked, EPB actuator changed 3rd times --> twirling balls, compressor twice, no longer MSV-2, Oltrepo' Pavese Hills, Pavia, Italy

Thanks - almost December and still not opened the panel on the wheel. The CC has actually been working intermitantly - but I guess i will sort it out over the Dec. vac. Is it necessary to remove the airbag?

Yep need to take airbag off to get to switch cluster, no need to remove wheel if just taking out switches, undo 2 torx bolts/screws from rear of wheel, and switches can be popped out.
