Tony, I agree with your sentiment - and I think it's not just the EU who are firmly against small business.
For all the noises they made, the Conservatives, and the coalition government have done absolutely zip all to encourage or help small business start up and develop. Financial assistance goes to the very top of the system and doesn't filter down, instead being stashed for their own benefit. Council and government procurement lists are as closed as ever.
