D3 HSE auto box

I have a 58 plate D3 HSE auto that has done 30k and I reckon I have an issue with the auto transmission but I want to know if anyone else experiences the same problem. When I lift off the accelerator to go round corners or cruise around a 'T' junction etc, when I then go to put my foot back on, nothing happens and if anything the vehicle seems to slow a touch before it then kicks down a gear (foot is nowhere near kick down point of the pedal) and then chucks me into the back of my seat. Not exactly a smooth ride to say the least.

I've been to the dealer and nothing found so they say and they've just reset the memory for the driving style but I'm sure there's an issue and want it sorting before the warranty expires.

Anyone else have the same or have heard about it?

Hi,

this could be EGR valves as opposed to the auto box, is it normally between 18-20k+ revs and then after kicks in and takes off?

Darrell Thumbs Up

Yes it is like that but I thought EGR valves were only an issue on early models. From looking on here I'm not sure if the torque converter could be at fault as when it does it, you get a clunk as if maybe the torque converter or driveshaft has just kicking in to take up the slack.

Have exactly same on my V8HSE. As first stated and if I coast to stop at road junction and then want to accelerate gently away I get kicked in the back. Had this after oil service at ZF. Can this be cured then by electronic wizardry?? Shocked

Worth getting your throttle sensor checked (It's all fly by wire, so a faulty sensor will give erratic throttle response)
