EPB fault light on, but EPB working well |
|
Have searched and read nearly 100 posts on EPB faults but not many with this same symptom.
Yesterday during heavy rain and while doing 50 mph on tarmac, EPB amber light came up. Still on today, 30 secs after starting up and driving off.
Brake working perfectly fine while parked and after activating switch.
Anybody ran into this same thing? Seems like something just needs cleaning, but is the dealer the only way to clean?
Have also read that TFCash has come up with a routine to quick-fix this but couldn't find it anywhere.
Will hugely welcome any insight... Probably a mislabeled D3 S with no nuthings. Who knows.

Hmmmm...just checked now. Gears don't show, only N (manual gearbox). Stop lights seems to be working well but not reverse lights.
Edit: was just reading more. Seems that X-Y switch calibration is what I need to do...
Will look it up a bit more. Probably a mislabeled D3 S with no nuthings. Who knows.

Seems I have a fault with the gearbox/clutch xy sensor
Reverse gear is not shown on the dashboard and reversing lights and rear parking sensors do not beep when selecting reverse. (However oddly I get a beep when moving from reverse gear to neutral)
Tried the reset by reversing and then forward in all 6 gears (manual gearbox)
Also tried the reset using the IID tool - message says its completes ok - but still no reverse on dashboard
Ordered a new sensor - hopefully here in a week (brexit export delays) MY05 Discovery 3 G4 LRG4C-14 Stage 3 & 4 Bolivia Team Fleet 49
