My point about the Toerag was more to do with the amount of red lights. Journos regularly berate the D3 for having a 'fussy' dash when compared to the XC90, but in the words of Marjorie Dawes, the Toerag is 'summing else'.No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

I too would find this useful, the problem I have with the Auto Box is that when you push the lever over into Sport mode you don't know what gear you are in, if you then decide to use the semi-auto command shift you can gear down too soon when using engine braking. I would like to know before I hit the lever + or -
After pushing the gear lever over into Command/Sport, if you turn the TR knob into and back out of any TR mode - the gear number comes up in the display, without having to change gearSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Loved the performance of a customers Cayenne Turbo S until we got STUCK in snow on the St Gottard pass last winter. Is was as useful as a chocolate kettle in anything but good conditions, but nice to be inside, even if we were watching D3's and others pass by.

I looked at one in the garage next door to the LR dealer last time I was there. I could see those OE tyres would be going nowhere in the ice/snow. 2007 TDV6 HSE 'Silver Lady'. With 'free' privacy glass LOL.
