bad smells!
bad smells!
hello, many friends during our off road outings, have "complained" the smell of "putrid" coming out of my D3 ........ especially after a long descent into low gear ...
with "often" smoke ........
I think the pot catalyst ?............Marco.

Get the same in my Disco, smells like the brake linings overheating especially when using HDC.

I had a dodgy smell few months ago smelled like smoky bacon crisps Stuck it over the pit and you'll never guess what i found a pheasant stuck between the exhaust and body Well barbecued and smelt well pretty tasty

I've also got this smell that seemed to be from the engine bay after a long descent in low range and HDC.
It doesn't quite smell like clutch or the brakes.
Any ideas as to why? Is it something I need to have checked out?

Vehicles in RSA don't have FBH fitted. Any ideas?
After switching over to high range and using HDC, it no longer had any smell.
And another thing, the smell was emitting though the air vents (aircon off, just the fan was on) and it couldn't be smelt when stood outside of the vehicle.
