Occasionally D3 doesn't start

I was just wondering about a possible isse with my D3. I've had this once and so has swmbo.

When putting the key in the ignition, turning it to, all the normal lights come on. However when turning further to start, nothing happens. Had to take the key out, put it back in, turn and starts without issues.

Is there a possible issue in the make?

I kind of had enough of problems in the last 6 monts. Already spent about € 4000,=.....

Are you sure it's not turning over, rumbling while it tries to fire up but can't.

Sorry for silly question, but if answer is yes, mine does that if I (rarely) forget to wait while the coil heats first before starting. I wait, try again and all fine.

Is it the same if you try another key and maybe the battery is going down hill on the key.

I have had the same thing happen a few times, I find if I put the key in and turn it really quickly the starter does not turn, if I then turn it off then on again it starts fine. I put it down to the bcm not recognising the key if it's turned too quick?
Hope this helps.

+1 on this happening, 3 times in three years, key to off and re-try has always worked. Never investigated more Confused
