The Raysmith website states
"Daytime driving lamps will be compulsory on all new cars from February 2011".
Don't know anything about that
My D4 was registered at end March 11 and I don't have them [activated]. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

If DRL's are mandatory in Euro soon shouldn't LR start selling D4's with this kit attached already? 16 D4 Landmark

Hi All
All new vehicles produced after 09 were supposed to have them but we are constantly finding cars that dont have them or havnt had them enabled and all it is is for someone to tick the software to enable them why its not being done is a mystery to me.
The DRLS you see on the picture are made by a company called Vestatec and they dont cost a lot of money we sell them aswell but they arnt cheap DRLs so mind that when you are comparing them to the chinese ones that constantly go pop when jump starting or hitting standing water.
The picture is only the launch picture they should now be about ready they were just being finalised in january and we seen them at one of the trade shows and they looked good quality
cheers

What is the cost of the Genuine DRL kit and where you can purchase one? (Im in the US, so some things our dealers just dont have) I tried searching for the kit, but wasnt able to under the code CH2M-14293-AA which is on that installation guide from Topix. Thanks.

My understanding is that only new vehicles launched (ie 'type approved') after 07 Feb 2011 must have them. D4 XS MY12 Galway
