Side Steps - How Hard To Fit? |
|
We think that we need to install the side steps. Really did not want to but the car's just a bit high to step up and down without feeling like you are scraping over the leather.
Can anyone advise on how hard these actually are to fit yourself?
Thanks
TJ

Access height? A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

It was hard to fit , just lengthy in the process of actually cutting and installing , it's not easy , and I'm pretty handy , but when ya done you can say , I did that , cheap , it's cutting the bits out of the plastic was a To do even with a jigsaw , and you dooo need them , all that sliding in and out , does the leather in . 2008 ,hse, it does what it says .

they also fend off supermarket trolleys from bashing the doors, and provide something to walk along when you end up parked next to one of these BMW thinggies with the design flaw that stops them being parked neatly. The white stuff last 2 years forced my 5-series to a new owner too...
On the steps....it takes a leap of faith to cut the plastic sills (there are guide markers on the back)but its fine...remember the small screws in the wheel arches to free the sills "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Hmmm. I'll put it down to operator error then. A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

BMW used to offer a "superiority complex" as an optional extra on its top models......now I believe it comes as standard on all models....
...and yes, this is from an ex-5 series and X5 owner "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
