Thanks Pointyed and Ent, I definitely give them a try. Just got to wear out these OEM Scorpion Zero's... shouldn't take long, I think they're made of cheese!

Very nice kidda.. I'm pretty curtain the coopers are what I want but still tempted by the pirelli ATR that are on ebay at 130 quid they seem good value. But the overall stance of the vehicle changes with the 20s on.. mmm

I was quite happy wearing out my scorpion zero's as quickly as possible so I could rush out and get the 275/45 R20 Cooper LTZ's I really want… until I noticed the speed rating. These are all "S" rated which looks like 113 mph. As the D4 is speed limited to 112 mph, I'm not sure if the margin is enough to keep insurance company's happy? Working on the assumption that all insurance company's are b Censored ds who will find any excuse, has anyone had an issue with speed rating?

you may not have noticed, but the speed limit on UK roads is 70mph. even if you drive in germany, you could keep the speed down and all would be well.
 Cheers

Re: tyres

I have noticed, and as it happens I've driven to Berlin today, but the point I was attempting to make is not whether I think the safety margin is adequate... but if the insurance companies do? !!!

We all know that it doesn't make any difference how carefully you drive when the insurance companies are looking for a loop hole. All it takes is for them to say the tyre's not up to spec. and you lose.

(And the D4 is very sweet on the empty autobahn's - Calais at 09:30 to Berlin at 16:30 Thumbs Up )
