Fitting expo rack on my07...
I've acquired an expo rack and have it fitted currently.
I need to put the front brackets on, but the instructions all tell you to take the trim off and drill a hole in it. My trim has a small circle plug (which I haven't removed yet) is it possible that they've updated the vehicles with this plug instead of having to remove the whole trim.

Correct, they screw out.....keep them to refit and keep water out when you take the RR off.If not,you will have to put the bolts back, and that does not look neat I only fit my RR when I need it,otherwise the car fits in nowhere

Mine was the same Bodsy MY54 pulled the gromits out
Could not get one of the plugs to come out. They are not actually threaded, just serated, and ended up pulling the top off. So, destroyed the centre with a long self taper, punched the remains down as far as I could with a screwdriver, and the bolt went in just fine!A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. Cheers all, they're now removed, but I don't think I'll bother putting them back in, my patience with them errrr wasn't conducive to recycling
What do you chaps who have got the rack fitted do for antenna mounts? There is no exposed rail to fit Uncle Ray's brackets back on.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. What about in the side rail of the rack? Depends on which aerial you have of course and whether it will go 90 degrees.Bodsys Brake Bible

Just get 2 bolts or 1 (depend on if you have the HD on or standard) and slide them in the rail of the roof rack it's self then use the top part of the RLD mount and bolt it on. Filming something somewhere...
They are all SO235 fitting and only go straight up. A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

I thought that sounded like a great way to do it - but I can't find a way to slide the bolt in. Neither the rear cross-rail or the movable one have cutouts to allow the bolt to drop into the slot. I'm more reluctant to cut notches in the rack rails than I am to punch a couple of holes through the roof. Any other ideas? All the floor rails should have a slot? Failing that, a couple of "U" bolts around the rail may be your answerI know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
