2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Metropolis LE Auto Java Black

Hidden Screen Not There

Hi all,

I've tried to access the hidden screen on the sat nav by following the instructions from various posts on this site but it is not there. Was it disabled on later models? Mine is a Metropolis MY06.

Do you mean the diagnostic screen ?

I have to press the top centre of the touch screen ( while on the home screen ) for over 5 seconds. Then press and hold down both hard buttons. You should only hear one beep and the screen should stay as it is on the home screen. After a few seconds you get the prompt for the pin.

Don't do it on the satnav screen, press the left hard button first and then you'll be on the right screen to do the rest

you only press one hard button ..not both ...the one on the left ( after you have pressed the invisible button ) G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Yes, sorry, to make my post clear, I was suggesting to press the right hand button once just to get to the home screen then the rest of the process begins. Bodsys Brake Bible

Doh!

Thank you everyone, I wasn't pressing the hard button.

Got to say that this forum is an invaluable source of information thanks to the expertise of the members. It would be interesting to tot up the cash that has been saved by everyone following your tips and doing it themselves.
