I bashed one before and it unclicked a bit ( clicked back in place)so I guess a bit brute force and ignorance is required but would rather not break any tabs off.
And is there enough room to fit a credit card sized item in there?It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

It uses a screwdriver to lever it off, first place to lever is here
