Rear Parking Sensors Fault |
|
My rear parking sensors have started to just make a constant beep noise when reverse is selected instead of
an intermittent beeping to measure the distance.
Has anybody got any ideas what it could be or what to look for?
Thanks

Could be as simple as a break in the insulation on one of them, especially if its worse when damp. I believe that you should be able to hear them clicking if you check them when reverse selected, may guide you to a faulty one. Apart from that, there is also a module that controls them somewhere, mine was changed under warranty some time ago. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Thanks for reply.
I've selected reverse and checked them. I can hear all 4 sensors clicking.
Any ideas on testing the module?

park sensor problem with spare wheel swing arm fitted |
|
I have just had a rear swing arm fitted for the spare and now have a problem with the reverse park sensors. Does anyone know how to resolve this. When the swing arm is open there is no beep but when I cover the sensors with it closed I still have a beep.
