If you can prise the edge of it up then grip it you can unscrew them - bit fiddly but it stops any marks being left due to prising it out totally.

Smash repairer just replaced my D3 one (which has no hole) for a D4 one which has. They didn't even put the plug in. So it has some tape over it at the moment.
That is the most minor of the issues.

I tried to pull the first one straight up, using a spatula, and tore the head off, I then had to dig out the remaining part with a plyer, hence the somewhat noob question posted here.
The second one I just unscrewed, easy as that, I tried that with the first one too but it didn't work there.
