I've been told it stops the suspension from adjusting height automatically.
Must admit I fitted my own electrics and it knew it was towing. It turned off the reversing sensors when the tin tent was attached. It also flashed the trailer light on the dash when the indicators were used.
Bit of a waste reprogramming it really but I thought it's better to be safe than sorry. Disco 3 TDV6 SE, black, de-badged, blacked out windows, cream leather interior, never seen a dirt track in its life.

A lot of D3s left the factory with the tow settings already programmed. So much so you wonder why they did not enable them on all cars as standard.
