Over the last couple of days, noticed that car is sometimes not changing up when it should i.e holding gear to 4500+ revs...2005 D3 Auto. Only thing that seems to get it back on track is moving into sport and back again. Anyone had this problem?

I've noticed of late ( ie after the upgrade ) that sometimes ( not always ) it revs its nuts off going down a steep hill ( eg, Birdlip back road for those that know it ) , almost as if it knows it should, and would, if switched to manual mode for engine braking .................Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

My wife's D3 did that for a little post enhancement but then it stopped doing it. Maybe it learns from you using command shift??

maybe there is something loose with the selector mechanism/linkages that needs to be readjusted and it thinks its in sport mode. some were having gear change issues a while back due to this.

I'd suggest that one possibility maybe that, without being concious of doing it, the "smart" nature of the gearbox has got the better of itself. Whilst a pain, the best way to deal with that would be to pop into your dealer and ask them to reset the gearbox ECU.
