Im looking at commercial d4 as well but will definitely putting standard 2nd and 3rd row seats back in to bring it back to a standard d4.
Have you considered the same rather than those crappy aftermarket bench seat jobbies ?

I have (and still am) but am a bit concerned about VAT man should he find out.
Had a long chat with another list member here who said the same.
Have you dont it already - how easy to put the LR seats (and belts etc) back in? I thought they made it hard by knackering the mounting points?
Cheers

Wouldn't be overly concerned with vat man scare stories, just talk to your accountant it isn't an issue really.
As for fitting standard kit, I was told by Lakeland who were the sole d3 commercial suppliers until LR made them there self that they had to weld over seat and belt mounting points. So worst case they will have to be re-tapped, no biggies for a grease monkey though. Keep eye out on the bay for a breaking one so you can nab both rows of seats and all the trim.
Worth doing though as it's a massive saving.

Chased dealer who said order book is not yet open for D4 but is expected ASAP and I am in the first allocation when they get it.

When you take the commercial floor out you will have a very substantial cargo barrier to remove and the metal frame that supports the floor. This lot is held in with security bolts that have a special "one way" head on them, they are sort of chamfered in such a way that the tool they use to screw them in won't be able to take them out. Some will come out with a pair of footprints but others will have been had a generous application of loctite, to remove these I drilled a 6mm hole in the head and used a drift to tap it round. The only re-tapping that needs doing is for where the retaining mechanism for the bases of seats 6/7 bolt to. The first time I did it took quite sometime but after intried the drilling method it took about two hours to removethe commercial kit with another 2 hours to fit the standard seats and seat belts. They did not weld over any of the fixing points. Club Exped trailer

The Ts and Cs (from here http://www.nfuonline.com/landrover/ then click the related docs) say
Quote:The additional support from Land Rover is over and above that negotiated by members with their supplying dealer. The additional support from Land Rover is detailed below:
- Defender all base derivatives – 5%
- Discovery Commercial - 3%
- Discovery XS – 4%
- Discovery HSE – 5%
- Freelander GS – 3%
- Freelander XS – 4%
- Freelander HSE – 5%
- Freelander S – 0%
The above support is off the list price excluding VAT.

The security bolts are made out of out of a pretty hard steel so tge smaller the hole you need to drill the better. Club Exped trailer
