Yes, you are right. The switch is the left one mounted in the ashtray.

I've copied Voug exactly save for locating the switch in the blanking plug for the electric sunroof.

I'm just waiting now for the Blackvue to arrive so that I can complete the installation.

Excellent guide, thanks Voug. I found a slighty easier route to the glove box:
Pull the seal down further, that way you can route the cable from the outside and don't have to remove the airbag trim on the A-pillar:

Poke a piece of stiff wire from inside the glove box, it will pop out behind the black plastic trim:
Sorry, horrible photo, look at the green wire.
Tape the stiff wire to the BV power cable and pull it back through.

The only other thing I did differently was to mount the BV more to the passenger side - there was some sensor directly under the rear view mirror - High Beam Assist?
I stupidly ordered a full size 'add a circuit', it needs a mini one which costs just a few pounds from ebay. As soon as that's done it'll be a beautifully clean install D4 HSE, Active Rear Diff, surround cameras, adaptive xenons, heated steering wheel, TPMS, remote park heating, centre console cooler box

Right chaps ,I've just cut the plug off of the end of the power lead and exposed 2 wires inside 1 x red & 1x black,am I right in thinking I now just twine the wires together and crimp onto the mini add a fuse then plug into the mini fuse socket (No28) behind the glovebox ?
See pic below

Thanks in advance

Crimp red into the blue bit of your 'add a circuit'. I used F28 on my D4 which is permanent live.
Black goes to an earth point - I used a round crimp terminal under the torx screw on the LH side of the glove box.
Edit: you can see the torx screw clearly in Voug's picture on page 1. The cross-head screw is not earthed so don't use that.
Thinking about it in retrospect, it might have been easier to do the earthing in the headlining. Next car...D4 HSE, Active Rear Diff, surround cameras, adaptive xenons, heated steering wheel, TPMS, remote park heating, centre console cooler box

Taking a lead from this thread, I got the 2 pack "mini add-a-fuse" as above so as I could wire the BV to a permanent live and free up an accessory socket at the same time.
I used the Torx screw as above for the earth and fuse 12 (horn) for a perm live.
Since then It's filled the memory card with several lovely sunrises (complete) and next doors security light going on and off all through the night and very little else, this is despite setting the sensitivity very low, any way I've given up on that now and moved it to a switched live on fuse 19 (row 2 aux socket.)
Point is though, it just illustrates how easy it is to change the configuration using the "add-a-fuse" devices
I might just use the second fuse and add a switch at some point though, just for the odd time I may have to park a bit more "out of the way".Clive

F28 and F29 were on my HSE.
1. try turning the 'add a circuit' up the other way
2. Make sure your fuse is in the right slot (furthest from pins IIRC)D4 HSE, Active Rear Diff, surround cameras, adaptive xenons, heated steering wheel, TPMS, remote park heating, centre console cooler box
