Martin,

Is there a way you can get the new posts page to auto refresh every 5 mins or so ? This is the page I and probably many follow so would be useful not to have to hit refresh every now and again to catch new post ?

Maybe a preference in peoples profiles for the refresh time ?

I know your a clever lad so can't be toooo hard eh ?

Hi Simon

Have managed to do this Very Happy

It's currently set to a 5 minute refresh rate as requested, I'll try and see if I can get it to be user-selectable. 8)

Martin, have you taken the auto-refresh off? Doesn't seem to work any more and I can't see the tag in the page source

Mine refreshes and wipes out the new posts sometimes, but don't worry it is probably me.

Brian, it is buggy, and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it Sad I think it's related to the problem Tim was having with the site marking everything as read.

Yes, I understand. Maybe there is a moral here or a sympathy vote with the D3.

No, I think it's more like there is a bug which hasn't been fixed yet. I think this software does quite well considering, and I'm loathed to swap it for something else which might not have that bug or two, but might bring a load more Confused

No, unfortunately the speed issue is totally different, that's caused by the new web host having over-loaded the server DISCO3.CO.UK is on Sad

They've got a new server coming in the next week hopefully, once it's installed we should be zipping along at all times Smile

I know there hasn't been much improvement over the old host, but they are so much more helpful and informative than the old host ever were, that I don't really care. They're being very very apologetic about the slow downs and overloading, bless them Rolling Eyes
