Macleod 313 - Thanks for that as you have one and know how it works - can the SD card be removed without having to remove the camera? Would you know how many hours your SD card lasts (4GB?) before it re loops to the start.

The Micro SD can be removed from the camera without removing the Camera from its Holder, just be mindful of where exactly you position it. Some reports of people placing too close to the rear veiw mirror which hinders the MicroSim from being removed.
Its not definative how long it takes to overwrite old footage, and it varies from set up to set up because you can adjust the frames etc, the higher definition means more storage used.

I have found I have about 3 days of recording before it starts bck at the begining. Thats over around 200 miles and 5 hours of record.
Before I adjust any settings, is that about what others are getting
Ian can you supply with a larger MicroSD card than 4 GB - if so at what price.
If I'm going to buy another 8 or16 GB card what spec & speed is recommended.

for aligning the unit if you tend to take it out / in a lot, look on the big flat button for parking mode it has the unit name and also aligned with the lens direction!!!.
On a 16GB I get 5-6 days worth, however on one drive I did manage to record 12GB of data between Prague (CZ) and Milton Keynes (UK) over the 16hrs trip.
also if you installing too close to the mirror you can install the camera the other hand (left or right !) so you can have it tucked away nice and close to the mirror but still give you easy access to remove the SD card, and yes when playing back it will be upside down HOWEVER you can click on the button to invert it

Is one enough?
Or do you really need 2 if your main worry is someone leaving a dent in your door while parked?
What is the angle of capture anyway? is it a full 180deg?
ta!
Following on from cestor's question if one were to purchase 2 Blackvues:-
Should they both be GPS versions?
Is there a better discount for buying 2?
Can I remind you about my earlier question regarding 16 GB cards - I find I have one spare with my camera, so this only applies if I were to purchase 2.
Regards

Does anyone know where a second mount/powercable can be bought - I want to swap it between cars but keep the fixings in place and just move the camera unit.
Thanks

This is an old thread relating the DR300. The new DR400 HD is en-route to HIDS4U as we speak. Have a look at the thread below for more info.
