Well, my wife said that since enhancement it was still a little too soft..... she has told me in no uncertain terms would prefer it if I could make it harder. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

being serious for a moment, I wonder if the earlier D3s with the latest software drive the same as the newer ones? I know mine is a 2004 too and really rattles your bones now ... the smooth gliding feeling has gone.
Ive put it down to just being part of the overall issues Im having with mine and part of the overall legal push to reject the vehicle due to all the issues.
as you have been advised.... take it back and insist it is put right. 2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

What a load of crap. My car has done 68000 miles and has been loaded for most of that. It still feels like new. In fact someone test drove it the other week and I asked them "how does it feel compared to your newer car" The reply was, DG over to you. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

DD... crap and why bring this issue you have up again.
Mine is Oct/Nov 04 build and delivered 24th Dec'04
Faults to date have only been niggles. Only mechanical issue has been park brake squeal. So my dealer replaced the whole shooting match to make sure it was fixed. It is and the D3 is now perfect again (barring my own off road damage).
The latest sw makes the D3 handle far better (more safely as it does not scuttle as much) and is in no way too hard or 'bone shaking'. Less roll round corners and tightens up at speed, softens up as you slow down.
Its far more predictable than it used to be.
Cruising along it still provides a ride comfort that I have never had before in any saloon car - BMW, Audi, VW, Ford, Renault etc etc.
It now feels like an '06 vehicle. I had a loaner the other day and it felt just as sure footed as my 'old' D3.
You continue to look for issues where none lye and still have yet to enlighten us on the (I think it was at last count) 45 faults you've experienced and your dealer has been unable to correct.
If you have then I apologise publicly.

Yes ...it was me ....My anticipation when climbing into Andrews motor was that I would find a loose, rattley and lumpy machine ...in consideration of his high mileage.
What I found was ..apart from some of his junk rolling around as I threw it around like a ragdoll ...was that if I closed my eyes I could of been sat in my motor (having done at the time 9k)....to me that is testament to what those who have the vehicle beyond the mythical 3 year issue have to look forward to 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

..... Im pleased for you, however I was merely noting that mine and the posters were both 2004 variant and WONDERING if there was any possible link ref. earlier ones being more effected by the change than newer.
The ONLY objective test for the poster or anyone else wanting to compare their vehicles vs another would be to try test driving a new one.
my only reason for not following this up with the dealer is that I am no longer willing to continue the constant failures to fix the other (supposedly non existent ) ON VIDEO and recorded issues my vehicle has. (oh and the reoccuring ones too). IF theres one thing I have learnt (fortunately) from this forum is that no 2 D3s seem to be the same and on the whole they seem to be reliable (hence I am willing to take a replacement not a refund), but THERE ARE lemons out there and people should not be discouraged from getting them checked out if they believe something is not right. 2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

if you had a lemon then why do you still have it after nearly 2 yrs ??
Show us the videos... you never know. We probably know the fixes better than your dealer does. Or at least can recommend a dealer that can fix it.
What I object to is the constant 'picking up' of faults and the scare mongering you insist on doing with new members.
If a moderator could kindly move all the gobshite posts to a new thread (and call it GobShite) and we can then continue to assist the original poster with her problem.
