buda wrote:thanks Tela, Ill get time to check the fuse tomorrow, I hope theres no pipe problems as it sounds too expensive, hopefully the fact that kwick fit said the pressure test was okay means no pipe corrosion issues, for me.
Well, fuse 51 the aircon fuse in the glovebox fusebox is okay so its still not cooling air.
- kwick fit pressure tested it, and filled it up, so if thats done right, there is no leaks, and is full of refrigerant.
- which relay brings in the "solenoid" to bring in the clutch on the air con compressor. I looked at all the pulleys, and especially the one I think is the air con compressor pulley and its turning . I cannot see any disc on the end of the pulley that starts turning when the clutch comes in( as some do), when air con is switched on in the cabin.
- can someone tell me which fuse or relay supplies the air con clutch??
-can anyone supply me an electrical schematic...?
- any other clues are greatly appreciated.............

Hopefully not too much of a plonkerish question.
First day of proper heat and I noticed my air con wasn't working (cold). Certainly was ok heating over the winter and also demisting which i always put down to the air con.
But the other day my 56 D3 HSE failed it s MOT and I had to have rear break pipes and front to rear pipes replaced. Any chance what they did might have knocked something.

Hopefully it will just be a regas, but looking at the last service, the pollen filter was changed, so im assuming it's not going to be good news

Would a hole in the condensor show up in a pressure test with dye that garages use/ My saga continues. Took it to Halford - ther eyou go sir donw. Next day warm again. Took it to a Halfords specialist centre, drove home all cool (literally). next day warm again.
Would a pressure an sye test show a leak anywhere? OR anywhere but the valve where you pump it all in to that is

Had a mobile mechanic come out and check it all out. Turns out is the pipe that goes in to the rear air con unit. He reckons it only needs the O-Ring replacing but there was a definate leak from there. So why didn't Kwik Fit spot it!!!

Kwikfit don't do leak diagnotics or repairs.
Only refills if the system is pressure tight.

I took my hse to kwick fit for a regas it lasted a week, I was told it had no leaks, so I filled it up myself with STP eeze something and it’s worked fine ever since. Im probably wrong but I don’t think they put enough in maybe they need to turn the rear seat aircon as well whilst filling like I say prob wrong but worked for me
