D4 Engine Noise

Considering buying a 62plate D4 HSE with 90k miles. Engine started perfectly from cold on forecourt. Engine sounds perfect and runs very smooth. However when I took engine oil filler cap off there was a slight regular knocking/tapping noise from inside Engine. When oil filler cap replaced no noise could be heard.
Is this normal for a SDV6?
